Why I'm Proud To Be a Conservative

I'm proud to be a conservative. In the last few years, that's been a bad thing to say. I've felt like I have had to hide my Conservative ideology. For years, I've seen the country I admired in my childhood weaken and fall on it's knees as more and more Americans have deferred our individual responsibilities.

But since president Trump was elected, I feel like I have a voice again.

This is another Golden age of conservatism. Like when Eisenhower build up America to be a power house in the 50s. When America showed it's power to the world. When we were each responsible, rolled up our sleeves and helped innovate to build the country that so many other countries watched with awe.

I feel like those days are coming back. But we have to be careful not to get sucked into meaningless fights with Liberals. They'll try to bait us and we'll have to be strong and smart. You need to do it like a conservative: fiscally responsibility, limited government.

We are the responsible ones. We should fight Liberals, but we shouldn't get in the mud with them. We'll have to question them rationally and not with blind anger. It's an easy trap to fall into when a Liberal tries to bait you. Staying rational takes an emotional strength that's built into the conservative DNA.

In these upcoming blogs, I want to spread the power of conservatism. We have a rich, strong background and don't let anyone tell you any different. It was Republicans who freed the slaves. It was Republicans who built our highways and bridges. And it will be Republicans who take America back.
